DISCRETE to ARINC 429

The value of the ARINC 429 label, the SDI and the SSM are configurable by the user via miniature DIP switches located on the printed circuit board (PCB).  The transmission rate (bit rate and repetition rate) of the ARINC 429 word can also be configured via DIP switches.

ARINC 429 to 0-10V DC

This ARINC 429 to 0-10Vdc Output converter is also in use by many companies who have a requirement to extract a specific ARINC 429 parameter from a user selectable Label and translate it into a 0-10VDC output.

ARINC 429 to +/-10V DC

The Octal Label, the SDI, SSM are all selected via setting DIP switches on the PCB. The ARINC 429 to 0-10Vdc output converter adapts automatically to high or low speed (12.5/100kHz) ARINC 429 data and the inputs are opto-coupled for electrical isolation purposes. The ARINC 429 to +/-10Vdc Output converter is powered from an external 28 VDC (18-72V) nominal supply with an internal current and thermal (150 ºC) fuse. The power inputs are reverse polarity protected.

ARINC 429 to 3x 0-10V DC

This ARINC 429 to three 0-10Vdc Outputs converter is employed where there is a requirement to extract data from up to three separate user specified ARINC 429 Labels on the same databus and translate it into three separate 0-10VDC outputs. Other output voltages available.

ARINC 429 2Rx to 6 Ch. relay

This converter consists of two ARINC 429 receiver channels that each drive three relay contacts – six relays in total. Each receiver monitors Label nnn ARINC 429 for a specific bit pattern within them. When a specified label is detected containing the required bit pattern the respective relay is activated until such time as the same label is detected with a non-required bit pattern.   The converter can receive high or low speed ARINC 429 data automatically without user intervention.   The unit is powered from an external 28 VDC (18-60V) nominal supply with internal current and thermal (102 ºC) fuse. The power inputs are also reverse polarity protected.

ARINC 429 to 8 Channel relay

This converter will monitor the individual bits of the two selected ARINC 429 Labels and use this information to control the state of up to 8 volt-free relay contacts. Each relay contact is dependent upon a discrete bit within a user selectable ARINC 429 Label. If the discrete field bit changes state then a corresponding relay contact will switch state also. Two user selectable ARINC 429 Labels settings are possible via DIP switches mounted on the PCB. Each relay can be mapped to either the first or second Label (A or B) in any combination. eg. Four relays mapped to Label A (1st Label) and four to Label B (2nd Label) OR all eight relays mapped to one Label.

ARINC 429 1Tx/1Rx with Serial interface converter(RS232/RS422)

This converter (Part No. A429-R1/T1-RS232-RS422-R1/T1) employs a single ARINC 429 transmitter and receiver with an RS232/RS422 serial interface. The converter is housed in one of our standard ruggedised CNC machined blue anodised enclosures enabling it to be compliant with the most common sections RTCA DO-160 for aircraft environments.

ARINC 429 4Rx/2Tx with Serial interface converter(RS232/RS422)

This converter (Part No. A429-R4/T2-RS232-RS422-R1/T1) employs a 2-Channel ARINC 429 transmitter and a 4-Channel receiver with an RS232/RS422 serial interface. The converter is housed in one of our standard ruggedised CNC machined blue anodised enclosures enabling it to be compliant with the most common sections RTCA DO-160 for aircraft environments.

ARINC 429 4Tx/2Tx USB and RS422 converter(USB/RS422)

This converter (Part No. A429-R4/T2-USB-RS422-R1/T1) employs a 2-Channel ARINC 429 transmitter and a 4-Channel receiver with an USB/RS422 serial interface. The converter is housed in one of our standard ruggedised CNC machined blue anodised enclosures enabling it to be compliant with the most common sections RTCA DO-160 for aircraft environments.

NMEA 0183 to ARINC 429(RS232/RS422)

This NMEA 0183 to ARINC 429 converter is in use by many companies who have a requirement to extract navigational data from a standard NMEA 0183 data stream and translate it onto the ARINC 429 data bus.

ARINC 429 to NMEA 0183(RS232/RS422)

This ARINC 429 to NMEA 0183 converter is in use by many companies who have a requirement to extract navigational data from an ARINC 429 data bus and translate it onto an RS232 or RS422 serial data bus. The exact format for the converted data is NMEA 0183 – a marine GPS ASCII format. The output can be used with third party mapping products such as Jeppesen, etc.
